Helene earned her Juris Doctor at St. John’s University School of Law in 1988 and her Bachelor of Arts, cum laude from New York University, School of Arts and Science, in 1985. At St. John’s, Helene was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award in Constitutional Law and while at NYU, Helene was a four year University Scholar and was the recipient of the Founders Day Outstanding Scholar Award upon graduation.

Helene started her practice in 2003 after training at well-known mid-size and national law firms with strong real estate practices.  Helene’s considerable and varied experience from such law firms along with many years in private practice, results in Helene’s ability to offer her clients extensive real estate advice in a cost-effective manner. Her office is centrally located across the street from the iconic Grand Central Terminal.

Helene’s has spoken at the NYC Bar Association on restaurant and retail leasing and at numerous commercial and residential brokerage firms on current real estate issues.

Helene was elected to the National Board of Directors of Women Owned Law in 2020, and has been Vice Chairlady of the NY Regional Steering Committee, since 2019 and will be Chairlady in 2021. Helene is also a member of the NYC Bar Association and National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) amongst other professional and philanthropic organizations. She speaks Greek fluently and is a member of the Hellenic American Bankers Association. She is also a true New Yorker, with a continuing interest in the US Open, having been raised in Queens.

Helene’s transactions include the representation of business owners and investors in the purchase, sale and financing of mixed use properties, as well as individuals and investors in the purchase and sale of apartments and brownstones in the New York area.

Commercial leasing work includes the negotiation of commercial retail and office leases, subleases and ancillary documents on behalf of both landlords and tenants in New York City. Transactions include the negotiation of two full floor office subleases in lower Manhattan on behalf of a Fortune 500 Company and a full floor midtown lease on behalf of a new media company.
